Irwin County Court Docket Searches
Start with the Georgia Courts E-Access directory for an Irwin Superior civil or criminal case. That listing sends users to PeachCourt. An account is required there. The Superior and Juvenile clerk is still the local office to call for missing images, certified copies, or entries that read unclearly. Probate, Magistrate, Juvenile, and Ocilla Municipal records each run through their own office channels. Before any Irwin County docket search, gather the court name. Also have the official case number if you can, the caption or filing type, and a workable date range. No confirmed Irwin case-number format exists, so never guess a prefix.
- Identify the court from the summons, citation, petition, or notice.
- For Superior Court, use Georgia E-Access and follow its PeachCourt link.
- Sign in and confirm the county, court, caption, and dates.
- Read filings, settings, motions, orders, and disposition as separate events.
- Ask the proper clerk for inspection, a plain copy, or a certified copy.

The listings show why one generic county search cannot cover every court.
PeachCourt and Irwin Superior Dockets
Georgia Courts names PeachCourt as both the e-access destination and the mandatory e-filing provider for Irwin Superior. Filing and access are not the same thing. A filer submits through the provider, and nothing counts as a filed paper until the clerk accepts it. An account also does not make every image public or free. When a case is missing, first confirm it belongs to Superior Court. Then contact the clerk instead of jumping to an unrelated portal. The clerk service page describes both case work and non-case work handled by that office.

That mixed list is worth noticing, because land, lien, plat, and UCC indexes are not case dockets.
Court Dockets: What They Show
An Irwin County court docket is a dated history of events. One line might cover a complaint, petition, indictment, answer, motion, notice, order, judgment, hearing, continuance, plea, transfer, appeal, or closure. An entry is not always the document itself. And a public line does not guarantee access to its exhibit.
| Case number | The identifier assigned by the specific court. |
|---|---|
| Caption | The formal title or parties to the proceeding. |
| Entries | Dated filings, notices, orders, and events. |
| Settings | Date, time, judge, place, and hearing type when supplied. |
| Disposition | The recorded result, not an inference from a charge or motion. |
Irwin publishes no local code legend. Ask the clerk when a term is unclear. A motion requests action; an order records the ruling; and a continuance moves a date without ending the case.
Three Irwin Court Suites
Three offices share 301 South Irwin Avenue in Ocilla. Probate sits in Suite 101. Magistrate sits in Suite 102. Superior or Juvenile sits in Suite 103. County contacts list 229-468-5138 for Probate, 229-468-7671 for Magistrate, and 229-468-5356 for Superior or Juvenile. Confirm details before you travel. Officeholder names on local and vendor pages have not always changed together.
The county directory gives the suite and phone rows.

The directory helps a request reach the custodian instead of general county administration.
Irwin County Courts and Their Dockets
Superior Court covers broad civil matters, felony trials, divorce, and equitable work. Juvenile Court handles delinquency, dependency, CHINS, and juvenile traffic. Special access rules apply there. Probate covers estates, guardianships, licenses, vital records, and some traffic functions where applicable. Magistrate handles warrants, preliminary work, and qualifying civil claims. Ocilla Municipal Court takes city ordinance and city traffic cases.
| Court | Work | Start |
|---|---|---|
| Superior | Felony and broad civil | PeachCourt or clerk |
| Juvenile | Child-related proceedings | Clerk under access rules |
| Probate | Estates and named county duties | Probate office |
| Magistrate | Warrants and qualifying claims | Magistrate office |
| Municipal | Ocilla ordinance and traffic | City Hall clerk |
The Georgia court guide explains the hierarchy.

The court named on the filing or citation remains the strongest local routing clue.
Why Irwin Has No State Court Search
Georgia recognizes State Courts, though not every county operates one. The official Irwin court, e-access, and e-file lists show no Irwin State Court. That gap does not push every misdemeanor or traffic case into Probate. The citation and the issuing court control. The official State Court page notes that State Courts exist in 72 counties.

That limited coverage is why a neighboring State Court listing should never be mistaken for an Irwin docket.
Court Dates and Settings in Irwin County
The Tifton Judicial Circuit calendar offers an Irwin-only filter. It also carries judge filters for Bill Reinhardt, Melanie B. Cross, and Ralph Powell. An event may show a place and the presiding judge. The daily schedule center posts date-labeled files that sometimes cover more than one county. Neither source is a full docket or case-number search. Confirm any date with the served notice and the court office. For Superior or Juvenile hearings, call 229-468-5356. Probate is 229-468-5138, Magistrate 229-468-7671, and Ocilla Municipal 229-468-3438. A reset is not a dismissal. The Irwin County court schedule walks through the full date workflow.
Calendar Versus Irwin Court Docket
The Tifton circuit serves Irwin, Tift, Turner, and Worth. A judge filter alone cannot prove an event belongs to Irwin. A missing calendar event also cannot prove a case is sealed, closed, or dismissed. Select Irwin. Verify the date. Then go back to PeachCourt or the clerk for the filing history. The circuit has moved from an old 2025 page to a new 2026 calendar interface. Saved links can go stale. The docket, the served notice, and the clerk are stronger status sources than any old calendar page.
Docket Access Under Georgia Law
Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 starts from public access. Law or procedure can limit it. Rule 21.6 addresses protected identifiers and certain protective-order information. Georgia Open Records guidance helps you request existing public records. Even so, court-specific statutes, rules, and orders can still control a file.
Key rules:
Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 states the inspection baseline and restriction process.
O.C.G.A. section 50-18-70 guidance defines existing public records.
O.C.G.A. section 50-18-72 guidance explains response timing, costs, and exemption notices.
Public does not mean unrestricted online indexing. Ask the office holding the record for a precise description, date range, and format, and whether a redacted copy exists.
Restricted Irwin Docket Records
Juvenile cases are not adult public indexes. Georgia forms include motions and orders for hearing access and closure. Child law-enforcement files are kept apart from adult arrest records under Georgia law. Exceptions and court orders apply. Never seek or publish a child's school, birth date, or address. Social history, detention facts, and dependency details count too. Domestic, adoption, medical, financial, family-violence, and protective-order material can also be restricted or redacted. So can a docket's hidden exhibit or identifiers. A docket may still show that a paper exists. Ask for the legal basis and whether a redacted public version is available.
How the Clerk Keeps Docket Records
Melissa Drawdy is the current Superior and Juvenile clerk in GSCCCA's directory. The older county page still names Nancy Ross. A 2026 ballot explains that the election filled Ross's unexpired term after a resignation, so use current directories and verify before relying on any name.

The GSCCCA entry gives current office details.

For the current name and address of the Irwin County clerk, the Georgia clerks lookup lists the office details directly.

Both directories should be rechecked when an officeholder name affects a request.
Irwin Copies, Fees, and Requests
Inspection, a plain copy, and a certified copy are three separate requests in Irwin County, and the courts publish no set fee for a Superior certified copy, a Magistrate copy, a Municipal copy, or a general PeachCourt document. Ask the clerk for an estimate and name the exact document and format you need.
| Request | Details | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Inspect | Court, category, case, dates | Confirm |
| Plain copy | Exact filing and format | Not located |
| Certified copy | Exact paper and certification | Request quote |
Georgia guidance recommends sending your request to the clerk who holds the record directly. If production will take longer than three business days, expect a reply. It should give a description of the records, a timetable, and the cost. An office does not have to build a new analysis for you. Keep a broad request narrow. Tie it to an existing record type and date range.
Probate and Magistrate Docket Boundaries
Probate handles estates, guardianships, licenses, vital records, and named traffic functions. Its published license and vital-record fees say nothing about a docket-copy fee. Older instructions allow traffic payments in person or by mail with the listed payment types, but confirm those details first. The Probate page lays out these services.

That page also shows why a payment instruction is not a full docket portal. Magistrate handles warrants, preliminary matters, and claims under the current limit. A 2026 summary says HB 295 raised that limit to $25,000 effective July 1, 2026. Older guidance says $15,000, so confirm local implementation. Its nCourt gateway handles filing and fees, not public all-case search. The Magistrate page identifies the office.

Use that office for Magistrate work rather than the Superior portal.
Irwin Records Not Yet Searchable
Probate, Magistrate, and Ocilla Municipal Court offer no public all-case search, and no public-terminal inventory, local data dictionary, static Irwin caseload count, or open PeachCourt sample exists on public pages. Georgia's Gavel project describes future records, filing, payment, and calendar features. Its public pages do not establish Irwin adoption. Use the phone, the counter, or a focused written request rather than a commercial substitute. Federal cases involving Irwin belong to the Middle District of Georgia's Valdosta Division and run on PACER or federal CM/ECF, not PeachCourt. State and federal appeals sit in separate systems too.
City-by-City Court Dockets in Irwin County
Ocilla is Irwin County's only incorporated city, per Georgia Department of Revenue sources. Official figures list 3,498 residents in the 2020 Census. Ocilla Municipal Court handles city ordinance and city traffic matters. It does not cover every Irwin case. Unincorporated communities get no invented municipal courts.

Ocilla posts no public docket search, online calendar, current fine schedule, or stable clerk name. Official documents name different people during a 2025 transition. Call the municipal office, and tell a payment record apart from the docket itself.
Irwin Docket Terms and Practical Checks
A case number is the identifier the court assigns after filing. A citation number belongs to the paper an agency or officer issues. The two may not match. A caption is the formal title of a case. A pleading states a claim, defense, petition, or response. Service is the legally recognized delivery of notice. The docket may show a return or affidavit rather than the act itself. A judgment resolves rights or liability; an order may decide one issue before final judgment.
- Docket entry
- A dated line recording a filing, hearing, order, notice, or other court event.
- File-stamped document
- An accepted copy bearing the clerk or provider's filing date, unlike an unsigned draft.
- Disposition
- The procedural outcome, which should be read from the court's exact words.
- Records custodian
- The office that maintains the requested record and can explain inspection, copying, or certification.
Before relying on an Irwin County court docket, run a few checks. Look at the court class, county, event date, and whether the entry points to a separate signed document. For a court date, compare the docket with the latest served notice and the current calendar. For an outcome, read the disposition and final order instead of inferring a result from a charge, complaint, scheduled trial, or motion. For a copy, say whether a plain reproduction is enough or certification is required. Names on office pages deserve the same date check. Superior clerk and municipal clerk materials both show official pages updating at different times. Trust the newest directory or dated government action. Verify by phone. A careful docket search keeps those distinctions intact rather than flattening every county, city, calendar, filing, and payment source into one misleading record.
